Last few hours in Edinburgh now before we head for the train station and then home (and for me a drive over to Leeds as well). It has been a good weekend so far, met all my family from up here at my aunt’s party last night which was good but that’s just about all I have done this weekend. It was a good party in terms of catching up with family and friends but not in terms of the actual party, after all it was a 50th. Before the party I went for a walk up to Dunsapie Loch on the side of Arthur’s Seat and got some good photos so that wasn’t too bad, nice to get some fresh air and listen to my music:
I was up very early this morning to try be productive by doing the practise test for the test I have tomorrow morning in Design and Manufacture, I got 29/40 which isn’t too bad but will try and do some extra reading on the train back if I am not too tired.
In other news this weekend Engelberg finished upgrading the new Rotair which looks amazing, hope we are going there next Easter. I also found out that they rebuilding a whole new lift to open in the 2015/16 season which will be sweet as it should be much quicker than the current ones. Here are the officially published photos:
New, on opening day (15/11/14):
One of my favourite backgrounds I have had for years was the now Old Rotair, my dad took the photo half way down Steinberg:
The main difference between the new one and the old one is the part that rotates; the old Rotair just had a rotating floor whereas the whole pod rotates on the new Rotair!
